It is no secret that our family is PUMPED about the new Avengers movie. It feels like we have been waiting for years to see it. Ever since Edward Norton’s The Incredible Hulk film, we have been waiting for the Avengers to assemble on screen. And tonight, at midnight, we will be there to see it all come together … at the premier of the film at the Bangor Mall Cinemas. And who will be with us? … Iron Man!

Okay, so he is not THE Iron Man … but he is pretty darn close. I met this guy, Joseph, at downtown Bangor’s Halfway to Halloween party last week … and begged him to join me at the Avengers premier to have his pic taken with movie-goers. For well over a year now, I have been working with the theatre here to bring fun events to their midnight showings. Midnight premiers are very well attended here and we try to make them as eventful as possible. I shoot nearly every premier … and then Isaac and I stay to enjoy the films. It has been a real treat. Sometimes we have live models join us (pirates for Pirates of the Caribbean films), or cardboard characters (Edward and Jacob of Twilight), or fun interactive props (light sabers for the new Star Wars in 3-d). But this time, we will have Joseph — the Iron Man — who built this costume himself from hard foam. It is very striking and realistic. This should be fun!
